Leaving a legacy

A lifelong learner, Dr. Elsie Gerdes helped to create UNBC as one of the University's Founders, saw her relatives graduate from UNBC, and after her passing in 2021 her legacy lives on with the creation of the Elsie and Dieter Gerdes Scholarship.

You can now purchase your tickets now for the ninth annual UNBC Timberwolves Legacy Night on Nov. 9. Featured speakers Chantelle and Warren Grafton will share their story how they reshaped their lives after Chantelle was injured in a mountain bike accident.

Supporting her journey forward

The road to her master's degree has not been straightforward. UNBC graduate student Deena Latta is grateful for the support she's received from family and mentors in her journey.
